New Bailey caravans receive further award recognition in Caravan & Motorhome Club Design Awards 2019

01st November 2018 | Bailey of Bristol
Bailey caravans put in a strong showing at the twenty-fourth Caravan and Motorhome Club Caravan Design Awards, announced at the NEC on Friday 19th October 2018, winning two of main competition categories.
The all-new Pegasus Grande Palermo claimed the best ‘Large Family Caravan’ prize while the Unicorn Pamplona was presented with the best ‘Caravan with Dedicated Bed(s)’ award.
These latest accolades follow a recent run of award success for Bailey caravans, which culminated with the presentation of the Practical Caravan Magazine ‘Tourer of the Year’ title to the new Pegasus Grande Messina in September.
The twin-axle Pegasus Grande Palermo

Making its public debut at the Motorhome and Caravan Show last month, the twin-axle Palermo is one of six models in the new 8ft wide Bailey Pegasus Grande caravan range. Equally at home, being used for touring or siting, the new Pegasus offers up to 25% more interior living space to set new standards in comfort and practicality. This extra space has afforded the Bailey Product Development Team greater latitude to experiment with new layouts. In the case of the Palermo it takes the form of an expansive parallel seat front lounge (capable of six people with ease), a practical four seat U-Shaped side dinette, a large central kitchen, two fixed bunk beds and a spacious corner washroom.
Display models of all the new Pegasus Grande range are arriving on Bailey Retailer forecourts now. Visit www.baileyofbristol.co.uk to find details of your local agent.

The Bailey Unicorn range is firmly established as the UK’s most popular premium caravan range and the current incarnation looks set to continue in this rich tradition. Benefiting from striking new looks, both inside and out, improved layout execution and choice, enhanced specification levels, accessible unladen weights and a competitive retail price the fourth generation Unicorn is sure to be at the top of the shopping list for many discerning caravan owners.

The twin-axle Unicorn Pamplona

Designed to cater for both couples and families alike, the twin-axle Pamplona features a dedicated end bedroom with longitudinal island bed. In the centre of the vehicle is a large transverse washroom with separate shower cubicle and a well-equipped central kitchen boasting a Dometic double door tower refrigerator. Whilst up front the signature Bailey vertical picture window beautifully showcases a spacious parallel seat front lounge which catering for up to four people in complete comfort.

Commenting on the receipt of these coveted awards Bailey of Bristol Managing Director Nick Howard said: “Naturally we are delighted that our caravan ranges have received this further award recognition. Given the level of rigour involved in the judging of this particular competition it is particularly pleasing that two of our Unicorn and Pegasus Grande models came out on top”.
This is testimony to the amount of work that has gone into the development of all our caravan ranges over the past eighteen months and has been reflected in a significant growth in the Bailey brand share during that period”.
Talking about the competition as a whole, Grenville Chamberlain, the Chairman of the Caravan and Motorhome Club said: “The information and data gathered during the judging process is invaluable to our members – and the caravanning community as a whole. This unbiased information enables people to make informed choices when buying a caravan or trailer tent. The club extends its congratulations to all the worthy winners, and its sincere thanks to the industry for their continued support of these competitions.”
