The Bailey Autograph 69-2
The Autograph 69-2 is Bailey’s 2 berth motorhome. This layout comes with a rear lounge that converts into a double bed, with a washroom (with separate shower) and kitchen at the front of the motorhome.
Other key features of the 69-4 are a Peugeot Sav Nav system, a through-boot easy access storage locker for equipment like parasols, tables and chairs, a Dometic 134 litre tower refrigerator, and a Thetford K-Series combined oven, grill and hob. This motorhome also comes pre-wired for WiFi (from the 2022 season onwards) so you can ask your Retailer to install WiFi and take your internet connection on the road with you.
We always say that the best motorhome for you is the one that meets your needs. This might be different from the motorhome your friends and family would choose so it’s always a good idea to do your research and ask all the questions before you buy.
Below we’ll answer a few questions to help you decide if the Autograph 69-2 is the one for you.
Is the Autograph 69-2 the best 2 berth motorhome layout for couples?
For couples, the benefits of the Autograph 69-2 are that it has a flexible living space in the back of the motorhome that allows you to have a comfortable rear lounge during the day and a large double or two single beds at night. This maximises the space available so that you get the best of both worlds.
Further forward, you get a lot of the benefits that come with the larger motorhomes in this range, including a kitchen complete with fridge freezer, oven with grill and hob, microwave and a sink, plus a washroom with toilet, basin and a separate shower.
Up front in the cab, there is plenty of space to turn the driver and passenger seats around, and use this as an additional seating area if needed.
There is lots of storage available in the overhead lockers, kitchen units and storage units next to the cab.
Everything a couple might need has been considered in this layout for short trips away and longer holidays. This might be the motorhome for you.
Is the Autograph 69-2 the best 2 berth motorhome layout for single travellers?
For single travellers, you get all the benefits of this layout that may appeal to couples, but you also get a motorhome that is compact and not too big for one person. You may also like to bring along your pet and there is plenty of space available for a dog or cat to make themselves at home.
The Peugeot sat nav system is ideal for finding your way around with ease, and the 69-2 includes a Dometic reversing camera that is linked to the cab head unit to help make reversing and parking smoother without relying on a second person to direct you. A DAB radio with Bluetooth connectivity provides entertainment while you drive.
What is the difference between berths and travel seats?
Motorhome berths
Berths refer to the number of sleeping spaces a motorhome has.
For example, a 2 berth motorhome means that it has two beds, while a 4 berth motorhome has four beds.
Berths can come in various configurations, including fixed beds, drop-down beds, and convertible seating areas that can be turned into beds.
It’s important to note that the number of berths does not necessarily correspond to the number of people that can safely travel in the motorhome.
Travel Seats
Travel seats, on the other hand, refer to the number of seats fitted with seatbelts and approved for travel while the motorhome is in motion.
For example, a 4 berth motorhome may have only two travel seats, while a 6 berth motorhome may have four travel seats.
The number of travel seats is critical to consider if you plan to travel with passengers, as everyone will need a safe and comfortable place to sit during the journey.
It’s important to note that the number of berths and travel seats may not always be the same, and it’s essential to check both when considering a motorhome purchase.
Additionally, ensure you check your driving licence before you start considering a motorhome purchase to ensure that you are able to drive the motorhome that you are interested in. There may be weight restrictions depending on when you passed your test.
