Family favourite Bailey Autograph 81-6 receives further recognition in the Motorhome & Campervan Design Awards 2022 Competition
This award is the second accolade presented to the Autograph 81-6 this season and follows the receipt of the “Best 6-Berth Motorhome” title from Practical Motorhome Magazine last October.
A 360 degree interior product tour of this double award winning model can be found here.
The competition, run by The Caravan and Motorhome Club, is now in its 23rd year and attracted over 70 entrants this time round. All vehicles were assessed by an independent panel of judges on a wide range of criteria covering comfort, practicality and safety. Although the motorhomes were not driven they were also still evaluated for key driving essentials such as driver ergonomics and passenger safety.
The Autograph 81-6 is an established model in the company’s motorhome line up that has been topping the Bailey best-sellers list for the past two years. At just over 8 metres in length it is the largest model in the portfolio, is built on a 4,250kg AL-KO AMC chassis and is powered by a Peugeot Boxer 165bhp engine.
The layout features a spacious U-shaped lounge which can be converted to either two single beds or a large transverse double at night. In the centre of the vehicle is a well-equipped kitchen, including a double-door tower fridge freezer, and a practical washroom which incorporates a large separate shower cubicle.
Moving forwards there is a second lounge comprising of a four-seater dinette, featuring crash-tested dedicated passenger seats with 3-point seatbelts, plus an additional longitudinal bench seat. At night this dinette converts into a small double and to complete the sleeping accommodation there is a full width double bed above which drops down from the ceiling.
As with all Autograph models it features a host of features including a Thule wind-out awning, a Truma 100 watt solar panel, a Dometic reversing camera and an Alde central heating system all as standard specification making it a fantastic value for money package
