- Off-grid capabilities with solar panel and diesel heating
Why the Bailey Endeavour B62 is great for couples
For couples looking for a campervan that balances comfort with adventure, the Bailey Endeavour B62 ticks all the right boxes.
At just under 6 metres in length, it’s small enough to be easy to drive and park, but inside, it’s surprisingly spacious.
The rear parallel lounge is one of its standout features: it can be set up as a sociable U-shaped seating area during the day and transformed into either a large double bed at the rear (1.86m x 1.90m) or two comfortable singles (1.90m x 0.65m each) at night. This flexibility makes it ideal whether you prefer to stretch out together or sleep separately.
Another key strength is just how usable it is all year round. Many campervans are designed primarily for holidays in the summer, but the Endeavour B62 is Grade III insulated, meaning it’s been tested in cold chamber conditions to keep you warm even in winter.
The Truma Diesel Combi D4E heating system runs on diesel, allowing you to use it off-grid. Paired with the 100-watt solar panel and 105 Ah AGM leisure battery, it’s well-prepared for more rural adventures, which is perfect for couples who enjoy remote getaways.

- Truma Diesel Combi heating and solar panel to keep you warm and powered, even off-grid
Why the Bailey Endeavour B63 is perfect for couples
For couples looking for a modern and compact campervan that’s packed with features, the Bailey Endeavour B63 offers what you’re looking for.
Unlike many campervans that position the lounge at the rear, the B63 features a front lounge area, giving it a more open-plan feel. This design gives you a lot of living space during the day, with a bench seat, sideboard unit, rotating passenger cab chair and portable perch seat that combine to create a sociable living space.
At night, this space converts into a double bed (1.87m x 1.33m) or a single (1.87m x 0.83m), making it a great option for couples who prefer a more open sleeping area. And its position in the front means the rear of the van remains free for you to use the kitchen and washroom at any time, day or night.
Storage is another key strength of the B63. It has a large wardrobe, overhead lockers, and well-placed compartments, making it easy for you to keep your belongings organised. Whether it’s clothes, outdoor gear, or kitchen essentials, the B63 ensures everything you want to take with you has a place.

- Practical layout with a front lounge and flexible seating
- Grade III insulation and Truma Diesel heating for year-round holidaying
- Compact and easy to drive, despite having four berths
Why the Bailey Endeavour B64 is a great choice for couples
The Bailey Endeavour B64 stands out against other 6-metre campervans by offering a pop-top roof and four berths, making it ideal for couples who want a little extra space or the option to have friends or family stay.
The pop-top roof bed (2.02m x 1.27m) adds a second sleeping area, which can be used in multiple ways. Couples can use it as a retreat for relaxing or stargazing thanks to the rooflight and flyscreened openings, or simply keep the lower lounge free for daytime use without needing to convert it every night.
For those who prefer a traditional bed, the front lounge converts into either a large double (1.88m x 1.77m) or two single beds. This flexibility means that whether you prefer to sleep together or separately, the B64 can meet your needs.
The rear side kitchen in the B64 offers plenty of features, like a Thetford 3-burner hob, combination oven/grill, and an 84-litre compressor fridge, making it easy to cook meals on the go. The rear corner washroom includes a space-saving tambour door, onboard shower, and Thetford cassette toilet, meaning you don’t have to rely on campsite facilities.
The Bailey Endeavour B65

Bailey Endeavour B65

Length: 5.98m
Width: 2.49m
Reasons to buy

- Pop-top roof provides an extra sleeping space or a retreat to relax
- The campervan’s compact size makes it easy to drive and park in tight spaces
- Its Grade III insulation and diesel heating make it suitable for year-round use
Why the Bailey Endeavour B65 is a smart choice for couples
The Bailey Endeavour B65 is a well-thought-out campervan for couples who enjoy flexible living areas, need clever storage solutions, and want to have occasional adventures with guests or family.
Unlike many campervans in its category, it combines a raised rear double bed with a pop-top sleeping area, giving you many different ways to use the space.
For couples, the rear transverse bed (1.97m x 1.39m) is a great feature. It gives you a comfortable sleeping area, but it also folds away to give you a spacious under-bed storage area. Whether you’re carrying bikes, camping gear, or outdoor furniture, this space means you can bring everything you need for longer trips.
Meanwhile, the pop-top roof gives you an extra high-level sleeping area (2.02m x 1.27m), making it perfect for occasional guests or as a second space to relax in. Even if you don’t use it for sleeping, the extra ceiling height makes the campervan feel more spacious and comfortable.
The front dinette is designed to give you extra space to eat and relax in. Doubling as travel seats with ISOFIX, this seating area has a rotating wall-mounted table, and the ability to swivel the driver and passenger seats to create a sociable space. Whether you’re working remotely, enjoying meals, or planning your next adventure, this setup is versatile and comfortable.

Choosing the right campervan for your needs
Here are some key factors to consider before you decide on which vehicle to purchase
Consider the campervan’s size
- Think comfort and features: Our Endeavours are 5.980m (19′7″) long and 2.489m (8’2″) wide so consider the amount of space available inside, parking and storage and your driving preferences.
- Think living space: How much space do you need to feel comfortable when relaxing or cooking inside the campervan? The B62 and B63 offer a single level with the lounge and sleeping area sharing the same space, and the B64 and B65 feature a pop-top with a separate sleeping area in the roof, plus the ability to change the lounge into an additional sleeping space .

Consider Cab Features
To stay comfortable on the road, here are some things to think about:
- Seat comfort: Do the seats feel comfortable enough for you on long journeys? And can you adjust them to the position you want? The Endeavour campervans both have fully adjustable and upholstered driver and passenger seats – they even have twin armrests to add to your comfort levels.
- Cab features: What additional features are there in the cab to make your journey more enjoyable? The Endeavour range features air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows, daytime running lights, twin cup holders, and drink bottle storage pockets.
- Flexibility & visibility day and night: Think about the visibility and light when you are travelling and also your privacy at night.
The Endeavour range comes with a glass panoramic over-cab sunroof with a cassette night blind – great for extra light during the day and privacy at night. The windscreen and side windows also feature night blinds.
A Ford rearview reversing camera with front and rear parking sensors also gives you great visibility when manoeuvring the vehicle.
- Entertainment on the move: Do you enjoy listening to music or podcasts while driving?
The Endeavour range offers an In-vehicle infotainment system featuring a 12” touchscreen HD colour display, DAB radio, Apple Carplay/Android Auto, satellite navigation plus Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Perfect for entertainment on the move!

Consider the facilities you need
As a couple venturing out in your campervan, facilities become an extension of your living space. Here are some key questions to ask yourselves:
- Kitchen Essentials: Do you envision gourmet meals cooked inside, or are you happy with more straightforward fare prepared on a hob? Do you need a full-size oven, or will a microwave be enough?
- Storage Solutions: How much clothing, luggage, and outdoor gear do you want to bring on holiday? You’ll want to keep it in the storage cupboards rather than in the rest of the van, so have a look to see if the amount of storage available is what you’re looking for.
FAQs
What is the best size campervan for two people?
For two people, you will require a minimum of two berths (either two singles or one double bed) and driver and passenger seats with seatbelts in the cab.
Beyond that, the best size of campervan is whatever meets your needs. You may want to own something a little bigger with extra berths so you can have friends and family join you, or you may want to keep to the most compact campervan available.
When looking, make sure all your absolute necessities are met. For some people, this might be a bathroom, a cooker, a fridge, or a separate sleeping area. It will be different for everyone, so it’s a good idea to think about your requirements and write a list before you begin your search.
What is the best size campervan for a couple and friends?
For a couple and friends, you have a couple of options.
One option is to have a two-berth / two travel-seat campervan like the Endeavour B62, where friends can stay in a tent and use their own transport but have access to all the facilities in the campervan.
Or you can move up to a four-berth campervan like the Endeavour B64 and have an additional two travel seats and two berths inside the campervan.
Again, it all depends on how the campervan fits your life as a couple and what is right for you. When making your choices, think about how often you’ll have people stay and how you might use the extra space when you go away as a couple.
What size campervan can I drive?
It all depends on when you passed your test and the weight of the campervan.
In general, if you passed your driving test before 1 January 1997, you can drive a campervan between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes on the C1 part of your licence, which you will have automatically received when you pass your test. When you reach 70 and start having to renew your driving licence every three years, you may need to pass a medical to retain the C1 part of your licence. You can speak to your GP to arrange this.
If you passed after 1 January 1997, you can drive a campervan up to 3.5 tonnes, but you would not have been issued the C1 part of the licence automatically. You’ll need to take another test to gain C1 and be able to drive up to 7.5 tonnes.
This is a rough guide and you should check your driving licence for your own entitlements to be sure of the size and weight you are able to drive.
