Bailey Owners’ Club celebrate 50 years of going Bailey in style!

18th February 2020 | Bailey Of Bristol
Formed by a small group of enthusiastic Bailey caravan owners way back in 1970, the Bailey Owners’ Club will reach a major milestone this Easter when it celebrates its 50th birthday.

The Bailey Owners Club is an independent organisation, run entirely by volunteers from the membership, which enjoys the full support and encouragement of Bailey of Bristol. They currently have 600+ members from all over the world and cater for the owners of both Bailey caravans and motorhomes.

By joining the club, you’ll have the opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts on organised events and rallies across the UK and mainland Europe throughout the year. Members can also enjoy a range of special discounts from selected insurance companies, vehicle breakdown cover, holiday bookings and PRIMA Leisure parts and accessories.

Central to the club are the rallies organised by the members themselves for people of all ages who want to make the most of owning a Bailey Caravan or Motorhome. They represent an affordable way to enjoy regular holidays and weekend breaks in a friendly and sociable environment and can vary in size from small gatherings to large groups.

The club will be kicking off their 50th Anniversary celebrations in style with their Easter Rally at the prestigious Sandown Racecourse in Surrey from 7th to 14th April. Highlight of the weekend will include a Special Anniversary Dinner prepared by the in-house chef and which of course will include a 50th Anniversary Birthday Cake. Evening entertainment and a special anniversary gift for all attendees are also included to ensure everyone will enjoy the party.

Later in the year club members will again be invited to visit the Bailey of Bristol South Liberty Lane manufacturing plant as part of their biennial Works Rally Weekend being held from 18th -20th September. There they will receive an exclusive guided tour of the premises by the Bailey Production Team. There they will witness first-hand the assembly process from start to finish, giving them a greater understanding of how their caravan or motorhome was produced using the Bailey patented Alu-Tech construction system. It is also an opportunity for them to meet the people who made their vehicles including Bailey Senior Management team, who also spend time with club members and their vehicles over the weekend.

Always one of the most popular events in the Bailey Owners Club Calendar it is anticipated that in excess of 150 outfits, including a record number of motorhomes, will be on the rally field – so it is advised to book early.

Commenting on this special year for the Bailey Owners Club, Bailey Managing Director Nick Howard said:

“50 years of ‘Going Bailey’ is a tremendous achievement by the club and we want to thank you them for their continued support over the past five decades”

“We look forward to welcoming them back to Bristol in September to see where their much cherished caravans and motorhomes were created.”
