Bailey of Bristol welcomes Daniel Ayres as our new Product Design & Procurement Director
This new role combines the leadership of our Product Development and Procurement teams, which already work closely together, making this a natural and strategic move for us.
Daniel will be reporting directly to Ian Rawlings, our Chief Operating Officer, ensuring seamless alignment and synergy between the teams. This step highlights our commitment to integrating key functions and optimising our product development pipeline.
The creation of this role will harmonise our supply and demand functions, helping us better meet market needs. Daniel’s appointment is part of a major push for improvements across our teams and processes, ensuring we continue to deliver products that bring our customers the highest levels of satisfaction.
Daniel is not just an expert in his field but also an avid campervanner, bringing personal insight into the lifestyle our customers cherish. His firsthand experience with leisure vehicles will be invaluable as he leads our product design and procurement efforts.
Founded in 1948, Bailey of Bristol is the UK’s longest-established independent caravan manufacturer, with over 75 years of experience. Our family-run business has grown to become the Nation’s Favourite brand, accounting for about one in three new caravan sales and expanding into the motorhome and campervan market and international exports.
Today, Bailey employs over 650 local people across three sites in Bristol, manufacturing 5,400 caravans, motorhomes, and campervans annually, generating over £151 million in turnover.
Ian Rawlings, Chief Operating Officer, comments, “Daniel is a highly respected professional in product design and procurement. We’re confident that with his leadership, we’ll continue to innovate and meet our customers’ evolving needs.”
