Bailey adds the family-friendly Pegasus Grande SE Ancona to its model line-up this Autumn
The 5-berth single axle Ancona features a large parallel seat front lounge, beautifully showcased by the signature Bailey vertical picture window, which converts into either twin singles or a large double bed at night. In the centre of the caravan is the well-equipped kitchen, with plenty of work top space and storage options, that sits opposite a well-appointed washroom that features a large separate shower cubicle.
At the rear of this spacious 6-metre layout is a second lounge, this time with an L-shape configuration, which converts into double bed with an additional 5th berth provided by a transverse fold-out pull-up bunk above. This area can be partitioned off with a folding screen to provide, if necessary, that degree of separation from the younger family members.
With the 8ft wide body shell affording up to 25% additional interior space this makes the Ancona ideal for those families looking for extra room. However in spite of its size this model weighs in with an MPTLM of only 1,600 kgs making it accessible to a wide range of tow vehicles meaning that it is equally at home as either a touring or seasonal caravan.
As with all Bailey leisure vehicles models are built using our patented Alu-Tech construction technology, cloaked in a GRP outer skin, making them more robust, more durable and yet lighter than those manufactured using conventional methods to offer greater protection against the elements to keep you comfortable, safe and secure all year round. To date over 70,000 Bailey leisure vehicles have been built with this ground-breaking technology and are currently being used around the world.
To ensure that models remain both safe on the road and secure on site Pegasus Grande SE comes supplied with all the latest safety and security equipment, including an AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System, an AL-KO AKS 3004 Stabiliser, a TRACKER Retrieve stolen vehicle recovery system and AL-KO Secure wheel lock receivers fitted as standard.
Pegasus Grande’s four-season touring credentials are assured with the fitment of a fully specified Truma Combi heating and hot water system (Combi 4 in single axles & Combi 6 in twin axles). This combined with the market-leading insulation provided by the Alu-Tech bodyshell makes them genuine all-weather vehicles – a fact confirmed with the achievement of the highest rating for thermal performance (Grade III Classification of EN1656-I) in rigorous cold chamber testing. Plus for those people seeking that extra level of flexibility the Truma iNet upgrade is available to allow remote control of the caravan’s hot water and heating systems.
Attention to detail throughout is highlighted by a series of practical touches throughout the caravan, such as the inclusion of external 230v and gas BBQ points plus a Truma 100 watt solar panel in the standard specification. While inside the fitment of a further six 230v sockets and five USB charging points as well as an upgraded Bluetooth compatible sound system means that everything has been considered to make holidays in the new Pegasus Grande SE as enjoyable as possible.
Bailey of Bristol Managing Director Nick Howard said, “With many more young families taking up caravanning for the first time, we wanted to increase the number of options we currently offer to this new audience. The Pegasus Grande SE Ancona provides them with something different offering them a proven single axle layout in an 8ft wide body shell for the first time”.
New season display models from the Pegasus Grande SE range, including the new Ancona, will start arriving on Retailer forecourts from mid-September onwards
*Neither the motormover, the WiFi router nor the television themselves are included in the standard caravan specification and need to be purchased as optional extras.
