All Bailey caravans and motorhomes are made with our own Alu-Tech construction method. When we developed Alu-Tech, leisure vehicle design and construction hadn’t moved on very much for over 30 years, but our new approach to bodyshell construction changed everything.

Alu-Tech uses a new approach to bodyshell construction that uses a unique interlocking aluminium framework to clamp the body panels together, creating a robust and durable shell.

Alongside this comes greater protection from the elements, better insulation to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, with no increase in weight or cost.

Since Alu-Tech hit the road over ten years ago, we’ve built more than 70,000 vehicles using this new technology.

Any getaway in the Autograph 81-6 begins as soon as you first settle into the cab for the road ahead.

The fully specified front cab features a driver and passenger seat, cruise control, air conditioning, driver and front passenger airbags, electric cab windows and heated wing mirrors – all designed to make the driver’s life as easy as possible.

We’ve also filled the cab with technology to keep you entertained and on the right track during your journey.  The DAB Radio with Bluetooth connectivity and 2 door speakers allows you to play your favourite music en-route, and the Peugeot Sat-Nav system does the hard work for you in finding your destination.

Please do bear in mind that driving the Autograph 81-6 requires you to have the C1 entitlement on your licence which would normally have been added automatically if you passed your test before 1st January 1997. If you passed your test after this then you will need to take an additional driving test to add the C1 entitlement. The Camping and Caravanning Club have a useful page on this here. At Bailey we know that one of the great joys of caravanning or motorhoming is being able to put all your cares to one side and relax outside at your campsite. That’s why we’ve designed the Autograph range including the 81-6 to make the most of these moments.

On the outside, the 81-6 features smart good looks with its ‘Dove Grey’ and ‘Glacier White’ bodyshell and ‘Silver’ 16” alloy wheels so you can enjoy arriving and pitching up in style. A Dometic reversing camera helps you to manoeuvre onto your pitch before you begin setting everything up.

As you set up camp, a Thule Omnistor wind-out awning comes as standard so you can quickly create a shady sanctuary as the sun comes out. There is also a large through-boot exterior storage compartment at the rear of the motorhome which is perfect for storing your outside tables, chairs and other camping equipment.

Finally, we’ve provided fixing points for a rear mounted cycle rack, so you can bring the family bikes with you for day trips and fun around the campsite.

At the front of the motorhome, the Autograph 81-6 has four travel seats behind the cab which face each other around a space for a table. When this table is added, the space becomes a front dinette with room for 4 people to eat. Alongside this dinette area is a sofa for additional seating, and the whole area can be made up into a double bed at night.

Moving towards the middle of the motorhome, there is a central washroom with shower, toilet and hand basin on one side, and on the other you’ll find the kitchen with Thetford K-Series combined oven, grill and hob, a Dometic 153 litre electronic fridge freezer (with a door you can open from both sides), and a stainless-steel round kitchen sink.

Finally at the rear there is a u-shaped end lounge with plenty of space to relax on the domestic style sofas with sprung seat bases. At night, a ceiling mounted electric drop-down double bed can be lowered to create your third and fourth berths. Underneath this, the rear lounge seating can be made up to make a final double bed to bring your sleeping arrangements up to 6.

All of this creates a family motorhome that fits to your needs throughout your day.

The Autograph 81-6 comes with a ‘Mendip Ash’ furniture finish, dual finish ‘Cashmere’ gloss Italian design overhead locker doors, ‘Slate Grey’ marble finish worktops and tabletops, and ‘Cadet Grey’ loose fit drop in carpets. You can choose from the standard ‘Farringdon’ or optional ‘Portobello’ soft furnishings to match your style.

When it comes to entertainment, we’ve added features to help you stay connected, with 230v power sockets and USB sockets throughout the motorhome to help power your devices. There is also a Status 550 telescopic directional digital television aerial, and the motorhome is pre-wired for satellite and from the 2022 season onwards,WiFi (both are retailer fit options). All this should help you stay connected to your favourite apps, shows and people.
