Arriving on Site: How to use the Truma Combi Diesel heating system
It is powered by a 230v electric supply or diesel. If you’d like a really fast heat-up time, it can be powered by both electricity and diesel.
It’s important to note that the system will always leave you with enough diesel to vacate the campsite and get to a fuel station. The Truma system uses the vehicle’s fuel tank, not a tiny separate tank, and the inlet is set to ensure that the vehicle won’t run out.
Truma Combi Diesel: How to use the InetX control panel
- To wake up the control panel, press the home button.
- You will then see Room Climate, Hot Water, InetX App, Notification, Turn Off, and Settings. You will also see the time, date, Bluetooth symbol and a plug symbol that illuminates when the leisure vehicle is connected to an electric hook-up.
Truma Combi Diesel: How to turn on the heating
The menu begins with two modes – Heating or Ventilation.
- Ventilation allows you to circulate air without being heated, which is great on a hot day. The fan speed can be set to the desired level.
- The temperature can be set using the plus and minus buttons. It will also show the current temperature. The Fast and Comfort settings control the fan speed. The Energy source allows you to select electric, diesel, or a combination of the two.
Truma Combi Diesel: How to turn on the hot water
As with the heating, the plus and minus symbols change the temperature. The options are 40°C and 60 °
- Energy Source allows you to choose between electric, diesel, or a combination of the two. If you have already selected an energy source from the heating screen, the same energy selection will apply here, too.
- Faster heating. To achieve this, the heating needs to be turned off, and the box will be greyed out. This allows the Combi unit to concentrate on heating just the water for 40 minutes.
How to use the InetX App
- If you haven’t connected your phone, the first few steps will prompt you to do so. There’s also a QR code that directs to the app. Connecting to the InetX control panel is the same as connecting to any other Bluetooth device.
- When successfully connected, a bar along the top illuminates.
- The app will allow you to control the heating, hot water, etc, from your smartphone.
- Any software updates for the control panel are carried out via the app.
- Once finished, the screen can be turned off by pressing Turn Off and selecting Stand By.
Truma Combi Diesel: Settings
- This is mainly for setting up the system with icons for language, factory reset, and device manager. This is for Truma equipment, not a smartphone connection. If necessary, display, brightness, and screen calibration can be adjusted from here.
Truma Combi Diesel: Notifications
- This lets you know if the control panel detects malfunctions or changes.
Truma Combi Diesel: How to turn off
- Stand By turns off the screen, but the heating and hot water settings remain unchanged.
- Turn Off switches off the heating, hot water, and screen.
