Dream bigger, think smaller with the new Bailey Discovery
Available in a choice of three layouts, these compact vehicles are easy to drive, easy to park and easy to store, thus providing you with the flexibility of use that will satisfy your sense of adventure.
The second-generation Discovery includes the two most popular models from the previous series, the two-berth D4-2 and the four-berth D4-4, and the all-new D4-4L, which features a parallel seat front lounge, a side dinette with a swing-up bunk overhead that converts into two extra single beds, a large central kitchen and a transverse end washroom.
NEW Discovery Line-up
- Discovery D4-2 - Single axle, 2-berth end washroom
- Discovery D4-4L - Single axle, 4-berth corner double bed, end-washroom
- Discovery D4-4 - Single axle, 4-berth corner double bed, end-washroom
All three models are built using our patented Alu-Tech construction technology, making them more robust, more durable, and yet lighter than those manufactured using conventional methods to offer greater protection against the elements to keep you comfortable, safe and secure all year round. To date, approaching 75,000 Bailey leisure vehicles have been built with this ground-breaking technology and are currently being used around the world.
The unique Discovery body shell features a totally new exterior rear profile, which has been designed to be more aerodynamic, enhance towing stability and improve tow vehicle fuel economy. The lightweight Alu-Tech construction also means these caravans weigh as little as 998 kg (MTPLM for D4-2 model), ensuring they are accessible to the owners of a wider range of petrol, diesel or battery powered tow vehicles.
Providing style as well as substance, this striking duo-tone shell in a ‘Polar White’ and ‘Slate Grey’ GRP skin is complemented by silver coloured TUV tested alloy wheels, the Bailey signature vertical opening front skylight, and a bold new wrap-around graphics scheme and helps complete an exterior look that will ensure that you and your caravan will really stand out from the crowd.
Discovery really turns on the style inside, with a fresh look. A combination of new Bailey ‘Light Oak’, ‘Satin Cashmere’ and ‘Anthracite’ furniture finishes, working in harmony with the new premium quality ‘Apollo’ soft furnishings, creating the perfect ‘home from home’ environment to return to after a day of adventures.
All models are fitted with a fully specified Truma Combi heating system, which allows you to holiday no matter the time of year. This combined with the market-leading thermal characteristics of the Alu-Tech body shell makes Discovery a genuine all-weather vehicle, a fact confirmed by the achievement of the highest rating for thermal performance (Grade III Classification of EN1645-I) in rigorous cold chamber testing.
The compact exterior disguises spacious interiors that includes everything you might need, from a weekend break to an extended holiday. All models are supplied with fully equipped kitchens, featuring a Dometic refrigerator, and a Thetford Triplex combination oven and grill with three burner hob, and cleverly designed washrooms including a Thetford cassette toilet and an onboard shower. In short, you will be totally self-contained.
A range of bespoke PRIMA accessories are also available to enhance your enjoyment of your new Discovery caravan. Foremost amongst these is a Thule Omnistor 6300 Wind-Out Awning, which has the potential to double your available living space, making it an ideal accompaniment when you are on a longer holiday, or you wish to invite extra guests along for the ride. For more information on this and a host of other extras which allow you to personalise Discovery to suit your needs, please visit the PRIMA website at: www.primaleisure.com/category/bailey-discovery-accessories.
Commenting on the launch of the all-new Bailey Discovery, Managing Director Nick Howard said:
“Whether you are new to caravanning or are an existing caravanner looking to downsize Discovery really is the perfect mobile base from which to enjoy the great outdoors. Whilst providing all the benefits of a conventional caravan it looks and feels distinctly different meaning it has the appeal to attract a potentially new audience to Bailey in particular, and caravan holidays in general”.
All three models from the new Discovery range will be on display for the first time at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show 2023 NEC Birmingham from Tuesday 21st – Sunday 26th February (Hall 3 Stand 3020).
